The Podiatrists of Delaware Foot & Ankle Podiatrists specialize in diagnosing and treating disorders of the foot, ankle, and lower leg. Podiatrists have expertise in orthopedics, radiography, sports medicine, dermatology, and surgery. Some conditions that podiatrists treat are ankle injuries, bunions, calluses, neuromas, running injuries, and toe deformities. They are often the first health professionals to diagnose vascular problems that have previously gone unrecognized. Podiatrists also contribute significantly to the areas of diabetic foot care, arthritic foot care, and wound healing. Our staff includes the following podiatrists:
Ernest Troisi, D.P.M., F.A.C.F.A.S. Dr. Troisi is a graduate of St. Joseph's University and Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine. He completed his residency training at Giuffre Medical Center in podiatric foot and ankle surgery. He has been in private practice for 18 years in the Wilmington and Newark areas. Affiliations include the St. Francis and Christiana Health care systems. Memberships include the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA), the Delaware Podiatric Medical Society, and American College of Foot and Ankle Surgery. Special interests include forefoot reconstructive surgery, recalcitrant heel pain, and limb salvage. Dr. Kline is a graduate of Wake Forest University and Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine. He completed a four year residency program in podiatric foot and ankle surgery at the University of Pennsylvania-Presbyterian Hospital. He is currently a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA) and the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgery (ACFAS). Staff affiliations include Christiana Care Health System and St. Francis Hospital. Publications include several studies on the effectiveness of extracorporeal shock wave on recalcitrant heel pain. Special interests include trauma, forefoot/ rearfoot reconstructive procedures, limb salvage, and ankle arthroscopy. Dr. Mote earned a B.A. in Philosophy from the University of Arizona. He graduated with honors from the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine. He then completed a four-year residency in foot and ankle reconstructive and trauma surgery at the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center. He is currently a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA) and the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (ACFAS). Staff affiliations include Christiana Care Health Care system, St. Francis Hospital, and A.I. DuPont Hospital.
Dr. Mote has published research in the field of surgical wounds, co-authored work in a foot and ankle surgical textbook, and authored surgical technique guides. Special interests include trauma, reconstructive surgery of the foot and ankle, pediatric foot and ankle surgery, diabetic limb salvage, arthritis, ankle replacement, and ankle arthroscopy.
